Ashley Bowers is the director of the Indiana University Center for Survey Research and a clinical assistant professor in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Prior to joining Indiana University, Ashley was the director of the Statistics and Methodology Unit of the University of Michigan Survey Research Center. Her 15+ years of survey research experience also includes five years as operations director of the University of North Carolina Survey Research Unit and three years as a Nielsen Media Research Fellow. Ashley completed a Masters degree in survey methodology at the University of Maryland in 1998 and is currently completing her PhD in survey methodology at the University of Michigan. Her dissertation research is one of the first comprehensive studies of interviewer job attitudes, turnover and job performance.
